Establish a Color Theme

For a head-to-toe makeover, the first step is creating a palette. I come up with a basic color scheme for the whole house, and then I take that from room to room. I always have my client come up with their “pop” color before I cam over for their consultation.

Choose the Correct Curtain Length

For classic side panels, you really have to go all the way to the floor, If are working with ready-made drapes, make sure that they touch the floor, even if you have to buy the next size up and have them hemmed.

Hang Mirrors Strategically

Mirrors are great in just about every room in the house, as they make the space appear larger. When hanging your wall mirrors, think carefully about what they’ll will reflect.. You want to pick up a great scene, like a pretty chandelier.

Splurge on Your Couch

Don’t postpone a makeover because of messy kids. I recommend spending money on your couch and budgeting on the accessories and fillers. The couch is a big focal point in your family room / living room. This is an area of home decor that really needs to be considered!
